Farmhouse Granola

Another secret recipe? Yes please!
Today we’re sharing the recipe for our famous Farmhouse Granola – a Springridge Farm best-seller for years.
It couldn’t be easier to make and we think it’s the most delicious granola around. The only essential ingredient is oats. We use sliced almonds, pumpkin pepitas, and pecan pieces but don’t worry, any nuts or seeds will work instead. No raisins? No problem! Substitute any dried fruits if you don’t have them or dried cranberries in your cupboard. And if you’re out of honey, go ahead and try maple syrup or even pancake syrup if that’s what you have.

Here is what you’ll need:
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup pepitas (shelled pumpkin seeds)
1/3 cup vegetable oil (any light oil is ok!)
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries
Preheat oven to 350F. Mix oats, almonds, pepitas in a big bowl. Whisk together the oil and honey and stir well into the oat mixture. Spread onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake, stirring at least twice, for 35 minutes, or until evenly browned. Remove from oven and cool completely. Transfer to a large bowl and break up large pieces by hand. Stir in dried fruits. Store in an airtight container. Serve with yogurt, fruit, ice cream or on its own with milk.

Here’s to another Springridge Farm secret recipe, from our family to yours. Enjoy!
