 | | Springridge Gingerbread Man
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
½ cup molasses
½ tsp ginger
½ cinnamon
½ tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
4 cups pastry flour
2 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp cloves
Blend butter and sugar in mixer. Add eggs and blend. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill dough overnight. Make into gingerbread men. Bake 350 for 10-15 minutes.
Icing
Beat 2 egg whites until frothy. Add enough icing sugar so that consistency will go through an icing tube. To harden icing, add ¼ tsp cream of tartar while beating in icing sugar.
