*Bees, Blossoms and Babies:
May 12 until June 13, 2008

Take a wagon ride along the escarpment.

Plant a pumpkin seed to take home and learn about the water and sun.

Visit the observation beehive to see the honey bees.

Play in Farmer John’s huge sand box.

Go on an adventure through the CORN TRAIL.

Feed the baby animals (goats, rabbits, turkeys and chickens).

 

*Strawberry Fun Farm:

June 12 until mid-July, 2008

Take a wagon ride along the escarpment.

Taste some fresh strawberries and see how they grow.

Go on an adventure through the CORN TRAIL.

Jump in the huge straw bales.

Visit the farm animals (goats, rabbits, turkeys and chickens).

 

*Thanksgiving Harvest Tour:

September 15 until October 10, 2008

Take a wagon ride along the escarpment to see the fall colours.

Pick and take home a small pumpkin.

Inspect different types of gourds and squashes.

Play in Farmer John’s huge SAND BOX.

Visit the farm animals (goats, rabbits, turkeys and chickens).

 

*Halloween Harvest Hoot:

October 6-31, 2008

Take a wagon ride along the escarpment to see the fall colours.

Visit the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin to take home.

Inspect different types of gourds and squashes.

Explore the “Boo Barn” a fun surprise the children will love!

Jump in the huge straw bales and play in the corn trail.

Visit the farm animals (goats, lambs, rabbits, turkeys and chickens).



*Gingerbread Man Program:

November 12 until December 19, 2008

Touch and smell the various spices and ingredients that go into the making of gingerbread.

Roll and cut your own gingerbread cookie.

Listen to our special version of the well-known story "The Gingerbread Boy".

See a demonstration of how wheat is ground into flour.

Decorate your very own gingerbread cookie with icing and baking gummies.


*ALL NURSERY SCHOOL PROGRAMS INCLUDE:

REFRESHMENT: The children will be served a peach drink.


TAKE HOME: Each child will receive a seasonal handout.


TIMES & COST: The morning and afternoon programs are 1-1/2 hours, and the cost is $6.00 per child (includes GST). The 11:00am lunch time program is 2 hours and the cost is $6.50 per child  (includes GST). There is a minimum group charge for 20 children per tour guide. Most of our program is under cover, so rain is not a problem. Payment is due at time of the tour.

NEW for 2008: Teachers and adult helpers are free up to a 5:1 ratio (children to adults).  Any adults over this will be charged $6 each.

ABOUT SPRINGRIDGE: Springridge Farm is a beautiful fruit farm located on the side of the Niagara Escarpment, just west of Milton. Springridge grows strawberries, raspberries and pumpkins. At Springridge there is a large barn with a unique gift shop, deli and bakery, animal barn, pavilion and play areas.
