This wonderful Christmas program is educational, fun and perfect for primary-grade school children as well as pre-school groups.

November 12 to December 19, 2008

The program will feature:

Touch and smell the various spices and ingredients that go into the making of gingerbread.

Roll and cut your own gingerbread boy or girl.

Listen to our special version of the well-known story "The Gingerbread Boy".

See a demonstration of how wheat is ground into flour.

Decorate your very own gingerbread man with icing and baking gummies.

REFRESHMENTS: The children will be served a peach drink.

HANDOUTS: Each child will receive a gingerbread man coupon to bring back to the farm with their families for a FREE GINGERBREAD MAN from our bakery and a gingerbread man ACTIVITY POSTER.

TIMES AND COST OF TOUR: The program is one hour in length and we offer a morning, mid-day and afternoon program.  The following times are available for each program: Morning 9:00-10:00, 9:30-10:30, 10:00-11:00.  Mid-day 11:30-12:30.  Afternoon 1:00-2:00, 1:30-2:30.  Please call early as there is limited space for this program.  The minmum cost per tour is $120 (includesGST) plus $6.00 for each additional child over 20 children.  Payment is due at time of the tour.

NEW for 2008: Teachers and adult helpers are free up to a 5:1 ratio (children to adults).  Any adults over this will be charged $6 each.

ABOUT SPRINGRIDGE: Springridge Farm is a beautiful fruit farm located on the side of the Niagara Escarpment, just west of Milton.  Springridge grows strawberries, raspberries and pumpkins.  At Springridge there is a large barn with a unique gift shop, deli and bakery, animal barn, pavilion and play areas.
