Pick Your Own Strawberries will start Wednesday June 18. The fields will be open from 9 to 4 daily. The price of pick your own strawberries is $2 per pound. Baskets are available for picking ($2) or you can bring your own container. Children are very welcome in the patch at a ratio of 2 children to 1 adult.
Ready Picked Strawberries are available in the Barn Market.
Picking Tips Check our website or call ahead 905-878-4908 before planning your trip. Dress for the weather; sunhat, sunscreen, water.
If possible come first thing in the morning during the week to avoid picking in midday heat and the weekend crowds.
Strawberry Care Refridgerate and use your strawberries as soon as possible. To wash, place your berries in a colander and give them a quick spray of cold water. Don't hull your berries until just before serving.
Freezing Strawberries WITH SUGAR: Hull and slice berries. Mix 1/2 cup sugar with 4 cups sliced berries. Package and freeze. WITHOUT SUGAR: Hull berries, place whole on cookie sheets and freeze. Package quickly and return to freezer.
