Pick-your-own Strawberries are now finished for the 2010 season.

During strawberry season the fields are open for picking from 9-4 daily.  The price of pick our own strawberries is $2.50 per pound.  Wooden baskets are available ($2.50) for picking or you can bring your own container. 

Ready picked strawberries are picked FRESH DAILY and available in the farm market (weather permitting). 
Also available: Sweet Peas and Sweet Cherries.

Ready picked strawberry prices:
1.5 litre basket $7
4 litre basket $16

Picking Tips
Check our website or call ahead 905-878-4908 before planning your trip!
Dress and prepare for the weather: sun hat, sunscreen, water etc.
If possible, come first thing in the morning and during the week to avoid midday heat and the weekend crowds.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable picking experience 1 adult per 4 children max in the strawberry patch.  Thank you.

Strawberry Care
Refrigerate and use your strawberries as soon as possible.  To wash, place your berries in a colander and give them a quick spray of cold water.  Do not hull your berries until just before serving.

Freezing Strawberries
With Sugar:  Hull and slice berries.  Mix 1/2 cup sugar with 4 cups sliced berries.  Package and freeze.
Without Sugar:  Hull berries, place whole on cookie sheets and freeze.  Package quickly and return to freezer.
